what a week!

Its been a rollercoaster of a week, but fortunately its wrapped up with some serious bean bag time. Great for a bit of chillaxing! :)

Zoombie Monkey Ninja

Zoombie Monkey Ninja? What the hell is that?

Its a blog that my fellow illustrator, Yves Meza and I have started as a portal for our bizarre creative illustration urges. Are we taking ourselves very seriously? I doubt it? Will it be fun I hope so!

To give you a rundown, we've gone with a monkey theme (hell, who doesn't like monkeys!), mixed in Zombies (or zoombies! - You can blame Yves for that one! :) ), and thrown in a dose of ninjas, to create a sort of illustrative outlet for some of our crazier and wacky ideas.

So if you like the idea of eating a brain served up like a banana split, throwing ninja stars as much as you like throwing poo, think that the continuous banging of symbols makes for cool interpretive music, or just wanted to dramatically disappear from an uncomfortable situation using the flair of a smoke (or fart) bomb then please go check out the new blog.

Obviously this blog will continue as usual but Zoombie should make for a bit of extra fun.

Looking at moving in to a bit of branding exploration and the development of some hoodies and t-shirts etc. Here are the first two designs I'm looking at getting done as t-shirts and hoodies.

Naturally, Tantrum had to get a look in - otherwise I never would have heard the end of it from Alana :)

Artboy Gallery had their Artboy vs Fanboy exhibition opening nite tonite.

They were very generous to give my art such a large showing space too.

Thanks big time to Marc and Matt for all their hard work in putting the exhibition together.

Monkey of the Day, and Secret Wars

Got an upcoming monkey based project with fellow mate and illustrator, Yves Meza. Will discuss the project in more detail in future posts, but needless to say it'll involve monkeys. So hence here is my monkey sketch.

Meanwhile I'm about to head off to check out my first Secret Wars tonite. Pretty excited to check out a couple of very talented Melbourne artists and soak up the whole atmosphere.
