Lost my fiance to BioShock Infinite :)

I have lost my fiance to Bioshock Infinite! :)
It seemed such a nice place to visit, and at first I was worried that I would spend too much time there and neglect her...but I have found that both my fiance and xbox have gone missing! I knew this place had a dark undertone to it but I underestimated it's deviousness!
Last I saw of her she was screaming for joy as she hurtled off down one of those skylines...

Not the Easter Bunny your parents told you about!

Not exactly the Easter Bunny your parents told you about, but Rabbit, from my Rabbit versus Bear art was the best I could find on short notice when I needed to pull a rabbit out of my hat :)
Have a great Easter Weekend folks! :)

Napkin art

Was planning to get home and play some Bioshock Infinite this evening, but the coffee was just too good and the sticky date pudding was to die for. May have been quite enthusiastic about the napkin art as well. Scribbling over four perfectly good napkins!

Make a Dredd Sequel !!!!

Make Dredd a Sequel!!!!

Let me tell you a story about a wonderful 2000 AD character that was so awesome they made a movie about him. They gave it a huge budget and great sets, except at some point somebody thought it would be a good idea to cast Sly Stallone and Rob Schneider???
Now lets see. In the comics you never see Dredd's face so Sly took off his helmet after....WTF....5 minutes. And that's all she wrote.
But then along came another movie some ten years later. It had a very small budget, but a very talented team of people who believed in the character and the project. And so against the odds they gave us the movie we always wanted. But where the hell were we? (The session I went to see only had me in the cinema!)
And so now we see the dvd release and I have no doubt that this will be a great cult hit on dvd. But dvd is not always what deems a movies success. How can producers make a sequel if the movie does not recoup the cost of making it.
Alas, it seems that a sequel seems very unlikey, and as fans I think some of the responsibility rests on our shoulders. After all, where were we at the cinemas when it released?
What can we do? Lets let the producers and makers know that there is a market, and as fans we are willing to step up and support something we believe in! And so I call to you, fellow inhabitants on Mega City One. Got to the facebook page and vocalise your support. And if we raise our voices as one, perhaps they will hear us within the Halls of Justice, and against massive adversirty, Dredd will ride again!!!

Dead Space ... Oops!

I have massive love for the Dead Space franchise, so I couldn't help myself but do my own little take on how things went down :)

Barry Steakfries vs Boba Fett ?

So it's 4am on a Monday morning and you can't sleep. What do you do? Roll over and try and go back to sleep? No, apparently you get up, drag yourself down the corridor and sketch up a picture of Barry Steakfries versus Boba Fett? Not the answer you were expecting?
Well, they are the two greatest jetpack characters of all time. The Rocketeer following closely in third. :)

Napkin Art

A bit more late night napkin art over lattes, arancini, and pizza :)

Iterations in Concept Art

One thing I love about concept art is the evolving process of different iterations. Here you can see the evolution of a layout to a more hard edged gritty cyberpunk style feel, to then a cleaner more minimal hitech aesthetic. Love watching a concept grow :)

Napkin Art

Of late have been taking to the habit of sketching on napkins when Alana and I go to our favourite cafe, The Last Piece. Here's a recent selection in situ with some of the best lattes you can find in Melbourne.
