Frank from Subway Surfers

Was recently commisioned by games company, Kiloo to do a large scale piece of their character, Frank from the hit IOS game, Subway Surfers. For anyone who reads this blog on a regular basis, you'll know that Subway Surfers is my favourite iOS game, so this opportunity was a fantastic one. The final piece was printed to canvas on a 1.8 x 1m frame and currently resides in their boardroom. Kiloo even sent me a photo of the canvas up on the wall with the CEO (That's him in the photo with the laptop).

Was a real pleasure to get the chance to do the piece and get a chance to work with the folks at Kiloo. Now i'm off to play another game of Subway Surfers :)

New RvB sketch

Been working on this sketch for fellow artist and friend VISEone. Its a bit of a mix of some of my trademark characters from Rabbit and Bear, to Tantrum, and even Steambot.

Steambot iPad case selling well!

It's only been up on Red Bubble for a couple of weeks and my little Steambot iPad case has made the Top Selling list. So he's selling quite nicely. Glad folks like my little steambot as he's been one of my favourite illustrations I've done over the years :)

NeonMob - Punx Collection

Just over 12 months ago now I was approached to do a set of 100 character designs. It was great as it was a completely open brief and the idea was to create characters in my own style - something I vary rarely get the opportunity to do. This was for a site called NeonMob and the idea was a new one - a digital art collectible and trading card site. Its currently in the private beta stage and my collection of first 70 designs has just recently gone live. Halloween has always been a big event these last few years. My fiance is like the rock star of the street with all the little kids trick or treating as she always gives them a bundle of goodies. This year i've drawn up this little sketch to put out front.

Jake from Subway Surfers

Like so many others I am totally addicted to this game (Subway Surfers) on my ipad and iphone at the moment. Such a simple premise executed well and presented awesomely. Been playing a bit of it today so I thought I'd do up my own interpretation of lead character, Jake.
If you haven't already played this one check it out on the app store. Probably one of the best freel runners around.

The other day as I sat down in the morning I looked across to see a fellow colleague of mine, Jason, take a seat at his desk looking decidedly old school. A pair of goggles and a scarf and we would have had the full steampunk look going. And so before i started my morning cuppa I scribbled out ths quick 5 minute sketch. Made him look decidely serious...after all it was early morning.

Well so much for these sketches being daily. Maybe I should have aimed more conservatively and said weekly. Anyway, his birthday is coming up so the topic of this sketch is the illustrious Mr B (My Dad)!

Party Animals Fan

Received an email the other day from the mother of a young five year old girl who has been collecting Party Animals and they'd discovered that I'd worked on the brand. They were chasing a couple of characters that i was fortunate enough to have samples of so I'm sending them out to them and thought I'd draw up a little sketch and send it along as well. It was nice to draw some of the Party Animals again as its been a little while and I thought I might be a little rusty.

Micro Chargers

It's easy to get caught up with work and say there's never any time left to do anything. Well, this is my attempt to combat that. I am making a concerted effort to at least draw "something" once a day. Let's hope this lasts! :)

Some of the graf art in my local area

Spent a bit of time today photographing some of the amazing graf art out in my neck of the woods. Some really amazing pieces all centralised in one area near the local skate park! Some really brilliant stuff. I understand its not everyone's cup of tea but i love this stuff! These artists are awesome!
