Well it's that time of year again! Its been a great year with plenty of ups and downs and really feels like somewhat of a blur. I can't believe its almost over already! Thanks to everybody that has supported the book - you folks are awesome! I hope you all had great 2013's and I wish you all a very merry xmas, happy new year and a a fun and prosperous 2014! Issue 2 of my comic arrives!

The first 200 printed copies of Issue 2 of my comic have arrived in preparation for January shipping. Stoked to get the books done so quickly after completing the first book. This reinforces my confidence in adhering to the Quarterly release schedule I've set for the book.

Ledger Awards - Long List Nominees 2013 - Australian Comic Books

Just in case you were in any doubt as to the quantity and quality of comics that are produced by the Australian Industry, The Ledger Awards has their long list of nominees of books produced and published in 2013. There's some amazing books in that list and I'm been pretty chuffed to have been part of it with my first issue of From Above. Second issue of my comic off to the printers!

The second Issue of my comic book went off to the printers the other day. Its a quarterly released book set in a futuristic Melbourne. Go check out the Facebook page and get behind the book. Its stocked in a heap of great comic shops around Australia, and next year I'll be doing the full OzComicCon circuit to help promote it.

Comic Book Launch!

Launch day for the first issue of my comic is fast approaching. In fact, it's Saturday 5th October at All Star Comics Melbourne. From Above will be launching with another two debut titles: Divine Comedy Comic Book by Matt Nicholls and Simon A Wright, and Tales to Admonish by Andrez Bergen and Matt Kyme. Did this canvas set for the venue at my recent wedding. Taking a bit of a a children's book steampunk theme to the telling of the journey of my wide and I. Even did up some designs for the cake toppers :)

From Above Comic Book

Just compiled the rough pencil layouts with the dialogue and script for Issue 1 and gave it a test read to check the flow of the story and dialogue. Even ran it by "The Editor" - my toughest critic. Preliminary thumbs up but still needs some tweaks. For the most part though it seems to be working nicely with solid pacing and dialogue. Will be able to move onto pencil refinements and inking shortly. Onward and upward
