Happy Superhero Day

After watching Civil War last night with friends I've been inspired to do a superhero ensemble piece. Should have drawn it yesterday for superhero day. just finished inking up my sketch from earlier. For the record, characters portrayed vary from the movie :)

FCBD 2016

As part of All Star Comics Melbourne’s celebrations for Free Comic Book Day I’ll be doing free sketches between 10am and 11.30am as part of their Artist’s Alley setup.

Its always a great day so hope to see some of you there and I know the All Star guys and girls have a huge selection of free comic books to choose from.

Supanova Expo Melbourne Sketch Off

Managed to snare a photo from the sketch off event at Supanova Melbourne. This was such a fun event and also such an honour to get to sketch alongside artists whose work I admire like @jasonlatour (Spider Gwen, Southern Bastards), @thechamba (Street Fighter, Big Trouble in Little China) and Bruno Redondo (Injustice: Gods among us). Was an amazing experience for me!

Supanova Expo Melbourne 2016

Supanova Melbourne was an amazing event. A huge thanks to the organisers for having me along as a guest at this event.

The crowds were fantastic and the vibe really really good. Naomi (at her first ever convention) and myself were busy all day and it was just a really fun convention to be at.

Thanks so much to all the people who dropped by the table to chat and bough the books and prints. A special thankyou as well to all those who enlisted me to do some very cool commissions for them - this was a lot of fun.

The highlight of the event though had to be the Supa Star Sketch Off which I was invited to participate in. Getting to draw alongside uber talents like Brun Redondo (Injustice), Jason Latour (Southern Bastards, Spider Gwen) and Jeffrey ‘Chamba’ Cruz (Street Fighter, Big Trouble in Little China) was a tru honour and one of the real highlights of my career to date.

Lastly a big thankyou to my awesome table neighbours, Chamba Cruz and Dean Rankine (Simpsons) who kept me very entertained all weekend.

Supanova Melbourne

Its Supanova Melbourne this weekend and Naomi and I will be there at table 190 with a whole heap of new material and some insight into whats in the pipeline with From Above.
I'll also be participating in the Supa Star Sketch Off on the Sunday at 1.30 with the uber talnt of Bruno Redondo, Jeffrey Cruz, and Jason Latour.
Should be an amazing amount of fun!
