New F class Forza Car and Livery

Mucking around in Forza last nite made a surprisingly good tune on a 2003 Focus. It goes to show I have no idea what the relevance of the number ratings for acceleration and speed are, cause this car was heaps lower in that regard to my Eclipse but it races almost a good second faster on some tracks.
I reckon this is the most fun, f-class car i've raced so far.

Forza F class

Been racing a bit of F Class in multiplayer lately. Surprisely its a lot more competive than say A class with it being a lot more difficult to tune up a competive car. I must say though its much more of a challenge and you really have to drive the wheels off your car to get a podium place. The down side though is that its definitely not what you'd call a friendly class with quite a lot of abuse flying, complaints happening and then there's also a large selection of rammers, however, if you can find a good lobby with some like minded drivers then its an awesome experience. I was lucky enough to race with some good people last nite.

Forza 3

Ahh that Forza love is coming back!!!
Started work on the Skullboyz/Sk1llboyz (nice suggestion Scotty!) livery last nite. Man, that livery editor requires some serious patience some times! Its an awesome tool tho, and amazing that a game lets you do this sort of thing. Props to Turn 10!
Also debuted my new Redfrog S5 last nite and had some pretty cool racing. Have the car set up with a nice balance of speed and grip. Definitely not as fast as some of the other S5s out there but shes superb through the corners!

Forza 3 session last nite

Had a fantastic session of Forza3 last nite.

Scotty Canuck (http://www.canuckistan.org/) set up a private party of five of us and we raced a great selection of tracks and classes. The racing was high quality and very clean. There was the occasion racing incident crash but they just added to some hilarious fun - including a four car tangle on resumption of one of our safety car incidents.

Redfrog Murcielago

Debuted the new Redfrog murcielago livery online last nite and had some pretty good racing. Put down my best A-class time on the Mugello circuit with a 1.56.

Finding now that i can't even bring myself to race the non damage modes, which is a pity because A-class is the only category with an expert mode. Would be cool to see maybe B-class and r3 done in expert as well. C'mon Turn 10, it's xmas! Grant me my wish :)

Forza 3 - New DLC

Was excited to download the latest DLC car pack for Forza the other day. Two additions in particular were ones that I was excited about: The R35 GTR Skyline and the 2010 model Audi A4.
Have already converted a really useful class C racer out of the A4 and done a custom livery for it.

Forza on the weekend

Raced a bit of R3 class and A class expert in multiplayer on the weekend and I am really now subscribing to the philosophy that if you can avoid the carnage and mayhem then you don't need the fastest car to place well in the race.

I raced and R34 Mine's skyline in R3 and even tho it was totally outclassed in speed by all the ferrari's in the races, i still managed to stay fairly competitive due to avoiding all the crashes that they got involved with. Of course i still occasionally got rammed off the track but for the most part i remained competitive.

This philosphy is even more appropriate when racing A class expert (which for my mind is the best multiplayer racing on the servers) as if you can avoid the carnage then any speed disadvantage you had is quickly removed by simulation damage starting to take its toll on the other cars. This lesson is most appropriate when navigating the Amalfi Coast course. Sometimes its better to hang back out of the turn one shennanigans and then navigate your way through the carnage.

Mines R34 G.O.W livery by Peanut TN

Got some nice comments on my livery designs over the weekend from a few people and even did a custom livery exchange with Peanut TN. He did me up this Jelly Muffin personalised version of his insane Gears of War livery. Looks absolutely amazing.
I highly recommend everyone to go check out his Forza Storefront. He has some wicked designs and vinyls!

Team Redfrog V8 supercar

Designed up the livery last nite for the Team Redfrog FG Falcon V8 Supercar. Even gave it the FPV style racoon style effect under the front lights. Gave the car a test run last night but she was still a bit twitchy, so have been working on the tuning setup to make her a bit more competitive on track.

Forza 3 on the weekend

A real mixed bag of racing on Forza 3 on the weekend. Some real good groups of good clean racers, and then some other groups who think the only pedal is the accelerator and there is no need to brake for corners. Sigh...arcade style racers have a lot to answer for :)

Pulled the RS4 out of the virtual garage and did a few tuning mods and applied a new Redfrog Gen 02 livery to it. With the tune it has a bit more pace and acceleration with a bit better turn in, but it rides a little bit more slippery than the R8 and S5. Definitely a fun drive.

Took a few shots from a Sunset Pennisula race that had some cool crashes, that I was mostly lucky enough to avoid. Most of these were just racing incidents tho and should not be attributed to the arcade style drivers I mentioned above :)

Forza Custom - High Octane Racing

Fellow forza 3 gamer, Sour Deeee, messaged me to get this custom done for him, for his High Octane Racing nissan. Incorporated the idea of the assassin from this mornings daily sketch.

Forza 3 - Threading the needle

Only had a couple of races last nite, but I did have one race on the Sedona track that stood out. Started from last on the grid and made my way through the pack. Managed to steer my way through the usual turn one carnage (without a scratch no less) and then half way through lap one managed to thread the needle between crashing cars and come out the other side unscathed.

It was a very cool moment as both cars were spinning and i was able to pick asmall gap between them and shoot on through without so much as a touch - very satisfying. That took me up to third where i spent the rest of the race. Didn't have the pace to catch the leaders and never saw anyone in the rearview mirror.

Its moments of satisfaction like these that make me love this game so much.
